Most of us don’t hear our name chanted by a group of adoring fans during a normal day at the office or on a morning Zoom meeting. But most of us aren’t Taylor Booth.

The 21-year-old American had just helped FC Utrecht earn three points at home in their push for an appearance in one of Europe’s continental club competitions next season. After the final whistle, the chants started to ring out from Utrecht fans at the Stadion Galgenwaard in the Netherlands.

“Taylor, Taylor Booth! Taylor, Taylor Booth!”

As evidenced by those chanting fans, Booth has become a key player for Utrecht this year after moving to Utrecht in the Eredivisie from Bayern Munich. The former Real Salt Lake academy player has drawn praise from Dutch media and the de Boer brother who didn’t coach Atlanta United. With impressive performance after impressive performance, Booth is doing more to raise his stock than any other American playing abroad right now.
