The USL Championship playoffs kickoff this Saturday, so it’s time to decide who has the formula to win it all.
To provide a quick little recap, 16 teams make the playoffs in the USL Championship. Eight teams come from the East and eight teams come from the West, with a standard bracket format whittling down the postseason field until the East’s last team faces off against the West’s last team in the final.
From an organized defense to a talismanic No. 9 to hot form, there are a few factors that champions tend to have in common. With those features in mind, we’re going team-by-team to decide who’s a title contender and who should start planning for 2024.
