It’s in the title, folks. Every week during the MLS season, Backheeled will dive into the biggest Winners and Losers from around the league. This week, Quinn Sullivan was riding high, Wilfried Nancy tried (and failed) to unlock Daniel Gazdag, San Diego FC’s unsung hero shined bright, and more.

Winner: Quinn Sullivan

It’s hard to imagine that Quinn Sullivan will have many better weeks in his professional career than the one he’s in the midst of right now. Let’s run through the timeline, shall we?

On Wednesday, the 21-year-old had the chance to start alongside his younger brother Cavan for the first time at senior level for the Philadelphia Union’s U.S. Open Cup win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The two even combined in the buildup to Philly’s second goal of the evening, helping to seal a spot in the Open Cup’s quarterfinal round.

The good times didn’t stop there.
