Austin FC

Result: 0-0 draw at Vancouver Whitecaps

Austin snagged themselves yet another key result against a Western Conference foe over the weekend, eking out a scoreless draw against the Whitecaps.

As the term “scoreless draw” does a good job of implying, it wasn’t Austin FC’s attacking play that led them to a point on Saturday. At times during their now six-game hot-streak where they’ve gone 4W-1D-1L, Austin have benefitted from some impressive (and likely unsustainable) finishing. But there’s been more to the run than just long range bangers — as my colleague Arman Kafai pointed out last week, Brad Stuver has been incredibly assured in goal.
