MLS’s primary transfer window shut on Wednesday night, so what better moment is there to look back on the window that was? Literally any point later in the season would be better because we would have much more information on which players have hit and which teams have really improved, you say? That can’t be right. Signed from Anderlecht in a continuation of MLS clubs looking to mid-twenties talent from Belgium, Anders Dreyer has been wildly good for the new kids on the block.
Chucky Lozano hasn’t been the brightest star for an impressively strong San Diego FC team. No, that distinction belongs to Dreyer, whose near $5 million reported price tag is looking increasingly like a bargain every time he steps on the field.
