Mauricio Pochettino’s USMNT September roster: Christian Pulisic returns, Noahkai Banks gets the call

The U.S. roster for a pair of September friendlies against South Korea and Japan was released on Tuesday. Here’s who made the cut.

The roster for the U.S. men’s national team’s friendlies next month was released on Tuesday.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for a face-off with South Korea on September 6th at Sports Illustrated Stadium and a meeting with Japan on September 9th at Lower.com Field features Christian Pulisic returning to the fold after a back-and-forth with the U.S. manager over the summer. Sergiño Dest, healthy and playing for PSV in the Netherlands, is in the squad and could make his debut for Pochettino next month.

Also of note: highly rated 18-year-old Augsburg center back Noahkai Banks earned his first call-up to the USMNT and Josh Sargent has, once again, been called up after not making the cut for the Gold Cup.
