Antonio Nocerino was named head coach of the Las Vegas Lights on January 9th. Five months later, almost exactly to the day, he no longer holds that role.
Though the Lights are just one point away from the final playoff position in the Western Conference and rest on six points in their Jagermeister Cup group, their performances haven’t been up to par. Las Vegas have scored just one goal in their last 600 minutes across all competitions, conceding 15 times during that same stretch. Over the course of the entire USL Championship season, no team has a worse expected goal difference than the Lights’ minus-7.9 mark.
